A long time ago I was lucky to encounter the wonder of Le Monstre by Jean Hiraga.
Later I met Nelson Pass and his work. What you see here is not an archive and not a museum.
These two-stage amplifiers are a continuation and development of the tradition of functional minimalism.
Here is proof that classic hasn’t petrified—it lives and grows new branches.

These three Class-A models, 50–100 W, include a
number of progressive changes.
Look—this is just one example of such an upgrade:
you see a comparison of currents in a single-ended
output stage.
There’s no need to explain the advantages of my circuitry.
In ultra-short signal paths it is clearly audible.

Why are these amplifiers here? After all, we’re talking about home hi-fi.
Surprisingly, the very first unit I built almost 25 years ago still works in a producer’s studio.
Surprisingly, another dozen of my devices have been working in studios for many years.
Owners describe it as an easy-to-read, non-fatiguing sound.
Sound perceived with the emotionality and dynamics that usually require a much higher listening level.
