Here are a few testimonials regarding the N95‘s impact on sound. To clarify the mentions of +4dB and +13dB: these are the reference levels of my converter. The equalizer is remarkably responsive to the input signal level; consequently, this nuance becomes yet another powerful tool in your creative arsenal.

“Pleasant and deep EQ sound; I particularly like it at +13 dB.

“They sound great!!!”
Shirshov-audio. Audio designer.
“After processing, the instruments sound more aggressive and accented—very bright and very pleasing to the ear. Clarity has increased; instruments and vocals become distinct, but without going overboard. Listening to the processed files is addictive; you start hearing new nuances, there’s something truly mesmerizing in the sound. In short—it’s excellent! I personally favored the +13 dB version, though the +4 dB sounds magnificent as well.”
Ralf Ferley. Producer.
“However, I really like how that thing sounds. I have to say +4dB version and +13dB version sound better than the original. I like the +4dB the most. It sounds like it doesn’t change the original. I mean by that that even if the original artist would hear it he wouldn’t say there is something missing.
This thing makes it sound better, more alive somehow. I have to say personally for me it feels like the drums come out more of the recording but nowhere artificial or bad.
I think this EQ would work wonders on a drumset
Also the Bass on the +13dB brings the Bass forward like its a better recording of the same bass…
I have to say this N95 brings a recording more to life than the original recording was.
SO actually i would say its a Mastering EQ for the final touch like an Pultec EQP-1A.
Maybe this is the only EQ you need on the Master Chain…
I honestly didnt expect it to sound so good. I thought it will just change/boost some frequencies and thats it but it somehow , ah maybe thats how that word come to existence, it glues everything together.
I never understood what they meant when they say a SSL Comp glues a mix together.. I guess i never heard a good SSL compressor. I like dynamic recordings. But i also like smashed colored sounds. But when you compress some instruments which should glue them i always thought, THIS SOUNDS SHIT, frequencies were missing and it sounds worse than before. Your EQ makes recordings alive. Call it FrankenQ.”
“Yesterday i had a visit from a Friend. I played him some examples of your EQ and he was, like me, blown away from what it does to the already Mastered Tracks… He was talking the whole evening about the EQ !..”

“…yep the Neumann sound is inside! But more rapid! Brings to front without being invasive…”
